: GamePlay : Addictability : OverallIf you don't know what Archon is, here's a breif description: You've got a board much like a chess board with 18 pieces on each side (Ligh & Dark), each side has characters with thier own special powers (ie, the Pheonix, the ShapeShifter, the Banshee). The whole point is to eliminate the other players team. Or captue all five power points on the board. Okay, this isn't an original game it's an exact clone (execpt the Weaken spell isn't present) of the original game for the C64. But a LOT of work has gone into this to make it perfect, the little pieces are well drawn and animated and all the sounds sound like the original even a bit better. The only bad mark against this game is that it seems to crash sometimes around the end of the game, so you never know who wins.
The computer is actually hard to play against now, I've only won two games against it. The bottom line is, if you like chess or the original Archon game this is exactly what you want. Enough said?
